Here at Biddle & Webb we are delighted to announce that we are working alongside Guide Dogs to help raise money for the charity. The Guide Dogs for the Blind charity breeds and trains puppies to become guide dogs and life long companions to those who are blind or partially sighted. As the Guide Dogs service receives no government funding and relies entirely on public donations they are always keen to be involved with as many fundraising events as possible…This is where Biddle & Webb come in!
Biddle & Webb will be raising money for Guide Dogs through a charity auction at Biddle & Webb on 23.10.15. We are encouraging you to submit any items which you believe may be of worth to our website under the guide dogs section. If you choose to sell your items at auction the 16% buyers commission will be donated to the Guide Dogs charity. Alternatively you may wish to donate the entire hammer price to the charity. We are inviting you to our valuation event at the Guide Dogs National Breeding Centre in Warwickshire on 13.09.15 where your items can be valued in person by one of our expert auctioneers. Again, there is the option to donate the entire hammer price to the Guide Dogs. During the day there will be a chance for you to tour the breeding centre and meet the staff and guide dogs. This allows you to see exactly how your donation money will be spent.
All the money donated will go towards a ‘name a puppy fund’ which means for every £5,000 raised Biddle & Webb will name a guide dog puppy.
The average cost of looking after a guide dog from birth to retirement is £50,000. Guide Dogs provide vital help to those who need it the most. They have the ability to give a blind or partially sighted person the freedom they deserve, which is why it is so important for Biddle & Webb to raise as much money as possible for the Guide Dogs charity.
We encourage anyone who is interested in donating to get in touch with us and attend any of our valuation days every Thursday 10am-1pm or to submit a valuation request online buy clicking here. Alternatively you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
