Over the last 2 years we at Biddle and Webb have been making significant investments in technology, people and property.
Our bespoke At-Auction software can now automatically catalogue, track items, report on marketing, undertake website analysis and provide full financial reporting. Moreover, we have now provided client and customer access through to their own personal accounts and we provide free live bidding.
We have taken on new management staff and we are training our expert advisers to auction and gain professional accreditation. We have also appointed a wine specialist and have held a number of these specialised sales.
We have gained a number of new recruits who specialise in our commercial sales and with guidance and training they are maximising the value of the immense range of items we sell every Tuesday.
We have refurbished our Interior sales rooms, created a specialist wine store and extended our selling space. For our commercial sales we are just completing a refurbishment and extension of the ground floor areas providing additional sales space and improving accessibility.
The results are now beginning to be clearly felt.
In the first four months of 2016 our monthly Interior auctions are 20% up on last year and our May 14th sale looks as though it could set a record.
We have doubled the turnover in our Commercial auctions which has attracted a number of new clients including Royal Mail, Hermes, a major supermarket chain, Ellis Brigham etc. Furthermore, we are in discussion with a number of new significant clients.
We publish all our results, have total transparency in our process and safeguard our clients’ property and proceeds. All this is achieved without ever losing the atmosphere of friendliness and good humour.
My thanks for this success must go to the hardworking team at Icknield Square; they have coped extremely well with these significant changes and are maintaining the growth which we have achieved so far this year.
