Gemstones, jewels and diamond rings, pearls and all manner of shiny things – Biddle & Webb Auctioneers has seen its fair share of stunning pieces of Jewellery. As the year marches on we thought we would reflect on some of the more impressive pieces of Jewellery that have graced our salerooms in 2017.
Whilst we don’t have to remind you that diamonds are forever, lot 5 from our March Interiors Auction certainly proved why diamonds are a girl’s best friend. An 18ct yellow gold diamond solitaire ring, set with a round brilliant cut diamond, approx. 2.19ct realised at a glittering £3100.
Biddle & Webb’s monthly Interiors Auction includes a diverse selection of modern as well as antique jewellery, silver and watches. Old cut diamonds continue to prove ever popular and our May Interiors sale included a particularly striking example. Lot 1 – a Victorian style diamond ring set with 21 old cut diamonds sold for £550.
However, the show-stopper isn’t always a diamond. In our June sale, a string of graduated butterscotch amber beads sold to a private collector for £3000. More recently, a gent’s stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner wrist watch racked up £3800 at auction.
We are the auctioneers of Birmingham – whether you are looking to buy or sell, Biddle & Webb Auctioneers continue to achieve the best possible market price for jewellery, watches and silver. Looking to the future, Biddle & Webb to expand our jewellery offering by opening a brand new office in the heart of the jewellery Quarter.
